TALLA Rewind

Ask weeks of footage a question.

Something happened and nobody saw it. Bring the recordings into a case and ask in plain language, like “a person climbing the fence” or “a white van at the gate”. Rewind finds the moments and keeps them as evidence, then deletes the footage.

How it works

From a pile of recordings to evidence, in one case.

No more scrubbing through hours of video. You ask; Rewind looks at a still every few seconds from every camera and shows you what it found.

  1. 01Open a case

A title, the site and the period you’re looking into.

  2. 02Add the footage

Upload files or whole folders, or paste links. Rewind matches each file to its camera and reads its start time from the recorder’s file names. You check it, or set it by hand.

  3. 03Ask in plain language

As many questions as you need, whenever you need them. Every answer says what it covered.

  4. 04Review what it found

Each moment comes with its stills, a short clip and a sentence on what the AI saw. Mark it relevant or not, and add notes.

  5. 05Export the evidence

A printable report and a zip of clips, stills and notes. Every file has a SHA-256 fingerprint, so anyone can check that nothing was changed.

Getting footage in

Bring the footage the way you have it.

Recordings turn up on a laptop, a USB drive, a colleague’s link or a recorder in a back office. Rewind is built to take them from all of these.

Available now

Browser upload

Files or whole folders, like a recorder export, of any size. Large uploads go in parts and pick up where they left off if the connection drops.

Links

Direct file links, Dropbox links and signed cloud storage links. Rewind fetches the footage itself.

Common video files

MP4, MOV, MKV, AVI, TS and more. From video management software, export to one of these first.

On the roadmap

Google Drive, OneDrive and Box

Share a file or a folder, and Rewind reads it from there.

Your own cloud storage

Amazon S3, Cloudflare R2, Backblaze, Wasabi, Azure and Google Cloud, read where the footage is, with read-only keys.

SFTP drop box

An address of your own, so recorders and video software can send exports on a schedule.

TALLA Rewind Agent

A small program at the site that pulls recordings straight from the recorder, or watches a folder, and sends only the stills.

API for integrators

Open cases, add footage and get results by webhook, from your own software.

What Rewind keeps

Your footage passes through. The evidence stays.

Rewind keeps as little as it can, and you decide how long each part is kept.

Footage

Kept only while it’s processed, then for a short hold so follow-up questions still get clips. Then it’s deleted, and the deletion is checked and logged.

48 hours by default, or none
Picture index

A still every few seconds, with repeats left out: no video, and a small fraction of the footage’s size. New questions can still be answered after the footage is gone, with stills.

90 days by default · legal hold
Evidence

The moments you keep, with their stills and clips, your notes and the case log. Clips are saved without sound.

Until you delete the case

Straight answers

Every answer says what it covered.

Rewind never claims to have seen everything. Each answer comes with a coverage report, and its limits are stated plainly.

With every answer

  • The hours of footage searched, camera by camera
  • Gaps: stretches with no footage
  • Files it couldn’t read
  • How often it looked: one still every few seconds

Good to know

  • Something shorter than the gap between stills can be missed.
  • Stills can’t reliably read number plates or faces.
  • Colors at night, under infrared, aren’t reliable.
Its own processing

Investigations run on Rewind’s own GPU, never on the servers that send your live alerts.

A record you can hand over

The case log records who did what and when, and every file in an evidence pack carries its fingerprint.
